Those who have known me for over 30 years know the passion I have for the Laverda brand and its history. It was this passion that led me to create Laverdamania, and it is still this passion that led me to begin the JLO-Tech adventure in 2022.
By facilitating the sourcing and remanufacturing of spare parts in France to help, alongside other specialists, ensure that these legendary machines can continue to be on the road, JLO-Tech is the extension of an approach aimed at sharing pleasure and knowledge. However, this sharing is increasingly compromised by multiple constraints! International trade is becoming difficult and unpredictable, with recent speculation surrounding customs duties adding their share of (major) difficulties. Shipping is also affected, costs are becoming exorbitant, and some companies are tending towards Uberization, with ever-decreasing human contact and increasing problems.
Furthermore, my goal is not to compete with other specialists who are facing exactly the same difficulties and need to survive in a bleak market. It always pains me to
foreign customers trying to order in France what they can find in their home countries, most of the time cheaper because they are customs-free and from dedicated and competent specialists.I have therefore decided to limit JLO-Tech's activities to French territory from now on. Believe me, this decision saddens me greatly because I have so many foreign friends who trust me and who demonstrate their friendship and confidence every day for many years. But this pain is contained because I know this decision is the right one for their interests and also for those of Laverda specialists abroad.
Please be assured however that I will always remain available if you need technical help or directions for finding parts abroad, or simply to discuss our favorite brand, the passion is intact!
