rails/carriers..

Beitrag von johnakay »

ok English it is
I didn't know where to introduce myself so I though this place is as good as any.
just to let folks know that I'm here if they need any grab rails or racks making.
the largest rack I can do is 24" chromed any bigger its can be powder coated in silver or you get it done.
the chromers that I use only have a small tank.
anyway here is some of what I make....

these I can make a long version.
unfortunate both only in 20mm,the originals were 22mm.
its expensive to keep in stock as I do not use this size for any thing else.
I used mostly 12,16,19,20mm tubings.
I make rails etc for other bikes to..

Folks,

here is a current project from John that Detlef has asked me to put the pictures of into this thread. Intention of the tray is to provide an easy to install carrier for the existing grap-rail like shown on picture 2 (SHORT GRAB RAIL) in Johns innitial posting.

The new carrier just slides over the existing grab rail and will be fixed at the shock-mounts. Basically 2 screws to put it on or off the bike and it provides a tray for a either a top case or a sea-bag or similar. Nice development...

with some rubber-tube on the round brackets, a damage of the chrome from the handle-bar is easy to prevent. Nice solution, I think

Anyone interested? Please let John know. Prices will be fair, I am sure. Feedback on the international Forum about his work are all positive btw.
